finally got the shoulder-pads taken out of this vintage jacket i’ve had for a couple of years now. fits so much better. i appreciate the ’80s however my body didn’t like the idea of me looking like an american football player.

today i wore my old P.A.M cap that i have had for a few years now, that i’ve barely worn. i felt like it never suited me…until today. now that i have short, manageable hair (& the fact that it’s blonde) i feel like i can wear hats like this one with ease. i can’t wait to build up my cap collection now!

YES. they’re back. bonde do role. loving the video & loving this track crazy! baile funk went away for a while, but not in my world. i still love it, i’m just excited the kings & queens of baile funk are back on the scene with fresh shit. fucking enjoy. & when you hear that famous brazillian baile beat, please, THINK OF ME.

yesterday, as i was cleaning out bits & pieces of my bedroom, i managed to find my vintage versace silk scarf (i forgot i had it!?) & decided to wear it with my new acid-wash overalls which i found at a vintage market last week with my parents. such a perfect fit – hugs me to a tee & holds everything in…pretty much. & as for the scarf, it makes me rekindle my love for the 80s scarf print as well as giving me hope that i can wear stuff like headscarves on my little blonde head.
seriously losing my mind over these two tracks that just dropped via mad decent’s jeffrees, by a guy called baauer. never heard of him until now (i’m so glad i have though!) free to download, these two tracks have been on rotation on rustie’s essential mix & i believe mad decent’s head honcho diplo has been dropping it in mixes & his radio show on BBC radio 1. & WHY THE HELL NOT? so good. AH-DIC-TED.
discovered this track by an artist called ‘purity ring’ while listening to a friend’s ipod earlier this week. so good, i fell in love with it immediately. this track is called ‘ungirthed’. it sounds very experimental & has this quirky girly vibe with the vocals but still edgy & strong with the experimental beats underneath. addictive. can’t wait to hear purity ring’s new album that is scheduled to drop on the 24th july, 2012. exciting. in the meantime, i’m going to listen to a few of their other tracks…so far i’m really liking what i’m hearing!

i find some great things at the op-shop however it seems finding a vintage leather jacket for super cheap & in a perfect modern fit is like finding a needle in a haystack – which is why i love these zara leather jackets. a vintage style with a good fitted modern cut (the arms aren’t batwing or gigantic!) taken from the zara USA online store, i am sure hoping they are already in australian stores or are on their way. i’d love to try them on / have them in my wardrobe!
EDIT: went into zara today to check out the gold leather jacket & for $299 i was very disappointed. it was a flimsy, thin leather & the gold leather looked like it was spray-painted. for $50 bucks, yeah sure. for $300? yeah nah.
